Tryin’-To-Be-Good Men

A project born from the collaboration of two Brno-based musicians Petr Pospíšil (The 6 Fireballs, Harlemania, Swingfonix) and Janek Čarek (Heart of Dixie, Django Jet). Multi-instrumentalist Pospíšil became vibraphonist this time, so the core of the repertoire logically consists of the famous hits of Benny Goodman’s and Lionel Hampton’s sextet. The band complements the vibraphone hits, which dominated the charts at the time of their release, with sensitive adaptations of Artie Shaw’s work. More avant-garde and listener-demanding pieces come from this second source. Repertoire, that is rarely performed live and attention to detail offer swing dancers a refreshing experience.
